Somma Energy and Consultancy
Technical consultancy specialising in sustainability, energy and the environment. We support industrial companies and SMEs in meeting environmental regulatory requirements, reducing emissions and accessing European funding. With international experience in reference projects, we bring to each client the technical rigour and regulatory knowledge needed to turn obligations into opportunities.
Career since 2011.
Start of activity in the areas of architecture, urbanism and environmental studies in Brazil, with a focus on environmental licensing, urban development projects and landscaping.
2012 to 2066: An Olympic Project
Start of project management and sustainability of the Olympic Golf Course for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Institutional representation at the IOC, IGF, PGA Tour and Rio 2016.
2013 a 2016: International Certification
Management of the international certification process with the GEO Golf Environment Organisation. The Olympic Course became the first GEO-certified golf course in Brazil.
2016: The Legacy of the Sands
Publication of the book “O Legado das Areias - Registo de uma Paisagem Recuperada”, a technical and photographic document on the construction of the Olympic Golf Course and the restoration of the Barra da Tijuca sandbank.
2016 to 2021: Large-scale projects
Technical management of large-scale urban and environmental projects in Brazil, including residential, logistics and industrial subdivisions, masterplans and environmental licensing of complex developments.
2021: Somma in Portugal
Founding of Somma Energia e Consultoria with a focus on Industrial Decarbonisation projects, Carbon Footprint Studies, Sustainability Reports and Industrial Licensing. Start of development of the SaaS platform for monitoring GHG emissions.
2025: GHG Monitoring Platform
Launch of the platform for calculating, monitoring and reporting GHG emissions and ESG indicators. Developed from direct experience in decarbonisation projects and emissions inventories, the platform allows companies to monitor their carbon footprint and generate reports autonomously.
Technology as an extension of consultancy
Somma has developed a SaaS platform for calculating, monitoring and reporting GHG emissions and ESG indicators. Designed from direct experience in decarbonisation projects and emissions inventories, the platform allows companies to follow the evolution of their carbon footprint, document reductions and generate periodic auditable reports, without relying exclusively on external consultancy for each update.

Carbon Footprint Study
We calculate and document your company's GHG emissions following the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064, building the basis for any decarbonisation strategy or funding application.
Sustainability Report
We produce ESG reports in line with the GRI, ESRS and VSME standards, adapted to the size and sector of the company, responding to the growing demands of clients, banks and European funds.
Industrial Licensing
We monitor the entire industrial licensing process, from classifying the establishment to obtaining the digital titles, with up-to-date knowledge of the SIR regulatory framework.
